23.4.2013 babyTEL partners with Xerox Canada to deliver real-time Internet faxing for traditional fax machine
TORONTO, ON, April 23, 2013 – babyTEL Inc., a leading provider of Voice over IP (VoIP) solutions, announced today a partnership with Xerox Canada, the world’s leading enterprise for business process and document management, to provide businesses with electronic fax services and reliable cost-saving fax services for multifunction devices (MFDs) or traditional fax machines.
Organizations with existing fax machines or MFDs are now able to send and receive faxes over the Internet in real-time using babyTEL’s Fax over IP (FoIP) T.38 SIP Trunking. By replacing expensive traditional phone lines with babyTEL FoIP, businesses can eliminate complex telephony infrastructure, drastically reduce communication costs and consolidate multiple virtual inbound fax numbers.
In addition, businesses can use the electronic fax service to securely send and receive faxes by email. As fax is still one of the legal and compliant modes of transmitting documents, businesses can now migrate their physical network infrastructure to a virtual architecture while still taking advantage of the legal qualities of fax transmission.
“Our partnership with babyTEL is another example of our efforts to provide customers with more flexibility, efficiency and cost-savings related to their daily, mission-critical business processes through the use of technology,” said Steven Connor, vice president of marketing, Xerox Canada. “It’s all about helping customers simplify how work gets done in the office.”
“We are very excited to partner with Xerox to provide best in class fax services,” said Stephen Dorsey, CEO, babyTEL Inc. “This collaboration marks an important chapter in FoIP, providing a reliable and secure faxing solution for enterprise customers.”
babyTEL is the world leader in T.38 fax over the Internet, certified by major fax server manufacturers and technology providers. babyTEL’s FoIP optimized network, with end-to-end T.38 support, allows customers to deliver faxes over the open Internet and avoid the cost of dedicated data links, regular telephone Trunking and related hardware.
