    CEO

    After receiving a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from MIT, Stephen Dorsey’s career as a technology entrepreneur includes the founding and leadership of numerous technologically innovative enterprises. In 1967 Dorsey founded AES, and developed advanced remote control and monitoring systems and a unique communication protection System adopted by Hydro Quebec and power utilities worldwide. In 1973 AES developed the world’s first microprocessor, the engine for its programmable screen based word-processor also a world first. Annual revenues reached $200 million. From 1977 to 1984, Dorsey served as founder and CEO of Micom, an office automation company in partnership with Philips NV, which he directed to $200M+ revenue and 1,100 employees. In 1986-1988 Dorsey developed a Voice Mail product and subsequently founded Voice & Data Systems (VDS). In 1994 VDS introduced FaxPAD, the world’s first real-time fax over IP platform. VDS introduced the ePAD platform for unified messaging in 1999 and is currently providing managed messaging services and products worldwide to Fortune 500 companies and telephone companies. Dorsey has received many awards including a French government scholarship to do solid-state research in Paris, the first annual CATA award ‘for technical innovation and corporate leadership’ and the Quebec Government’s Prix de Communications. Dorsey served three years on the board of NSERC and three years as president of St. Georges School.

    Dan Dorsey is the Vice President of Channel Partnerships at babyTEL. He has over 18 years of experience in the Media/Telecom industry, working with companies such as CNW Group, Rogers Television and Sprint Canada. Past lives have also included being a Radio Announcer for CKRK in Montreal, an Associate Producer for the TV show NoPriceLikeHome and an Artist Manager for Top 40 singer/songwriter Pobi. Dan is an accomplished squash player and is currently ranked in the top 50 in Ontario. He also enjoys playing basketball and a good canoe down the Dumoine River.

Khaled lead the design and development of babyTEL’s unified messaging system and the FaxPAD, the first Fax-over-IP platform successfully deployed by a national carrier (Singtel) for worldwide real-time fax delivery. Currently Khaled is a key member of the babyTEL concept and design team for new products and services.
